WHO AM I?
My name is Renee, a final year student of Bachelor of Social Science major in Public Policy, Management and Politics in City University of Hong Kong. I was so lucky to be able to go to the University of Sussex in the UK for a six-month academic exchange programme in the beginning of 2014.
“One day when you look back,
you’ll realize that you’ve walked a path
you’ve never thought you would.”
Gravity
I consider myself as a cheerful person with strong willpower. Even if I am depressed, I would cheer myself up and think positive to recover because it does not matter if you fall but if you can rise again from the failure. To make a dream come true requires immeasurable efforts, persistence and patience. Thus, I refuse to give up easily as I never know how close I am from my goal.
To experience the world on my own and try something new, I am keen on adventures. I can accept failure, but cannot accept not trying. As I can only live once, I refuse to stop myself from testing my limitations as well as trying something new. Every adventure is a journey to step out from my comfort zone, be brave and know myself better.
I am serious and demanding to myself when I work, favoring perfectness. Even if I have finished my work, I cannot help but keep thinking of how to improve it. I am learning not to be too stubborn because it can be irritating to be trapped by the past continuously. Still, I can learn from the mistakes and imperfections to face the next challenge.
